Last year’s raffle raised over $6,400! These funds helped us increase our Forest Guardian team from 54 to 73 members and bolster our community conservation programs in what is the nation’s largest protected forest and the first to be managed by a network of community groups.

Unfortunately, rapid population growth and development are still threatening red pandas and their habitat. Humans continue to populate the PIT Red Panda Protected Forest and poverty and insufficient livelihood options are driving deforestation and over-harvest of forest resources.

We need YOUR HELP in protecting Sanju’s home. All donations will directly support our habitat protection and sustainable livelihood programs in the PIT Red Panda Protected Forest.

Raffle Details & Rules:

• • • Minimum $50 Sanju adoption = 10 entries for the raffle drawing
    • Donors can earn 1 entry for each additional $5 donation, up to a total of 30 entries based on their donation amount (based on a $150 donation)
    • Donors who give more than $150 can gift their additional entries to a friend or family member
    • All Sanju adoption donations made in July (up to $150) can be applied to the cost of an upcoming ecotrip
    • The raffle drawing will take place at 5 PM (Pacific) on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018; all Sanju adoptions received between July 1^st through the time of the drawing will qualify.
    • The winner will receive a FREE ecotrip to Nepal which includes all food, accommodations and domestic travel during trip dates (International airfare to Nepal is not included).
    • The winner can choose from any 2018 trip including Eco Zoo Trips and our NEW Himalayan Red Panda Phototrip.

Q: What is a Red Panda Network ecotrip?
A: Our ecotrips are described as a “trip of a lifetime” that gives you the opportunity to explore one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world, see amazing sites including breathtaking views of Mount Everest, and of course, get a rare chance to see red pandas in their natural habitat. Check out our ecotrips page to learn more about them.

Q: Does the free ecotrip also cover the international flight to Nepal?
A: The free ecotrip does not cover the international flight to Nepal. The winner would have to make their own travel arrangements to Nepal. The flight cost can vary significantly depending on where you fly from, and when during the year you fly. If cost is a concern, we recommend checking prices for different months to see when they are cheaper. Our trips are offered between Mar-May and Nov-Dec, so there should be a variety of options to choose from.

Q: Can I adopt Sanju even if I’m not interested in the ecotrip?
A: Absolutely, Sanju would love your support! If you’re not interested in participating in the free ecotrip drawing, just let us know in the comments.

Q: I’m already a monthly donor, but donate less than $50 a month. Is my donation eligible for the ecotrip drawing?
A: Not unless your monthly donation amount is $50 or more.

Q: Can I sponsor a red panda other than Sanju, and still be eligible for the drawing?
A: Yes, but please email us at info@redpandanetwork.org and let us know that your adoption is for the drawing.

Q: How do I gift raffle entries to someone else?
A: In the donation form, under “Select an Amount”, check the box next to “Dedicate my donation in honor or in memory of someone”. Please complete the form that appears with the recipient’s info.

Q: How many friends and family can I send gift entries to?
A: There is no limit. If your adoption recipient is selected, they must be the one who participates in the trip (not you).

Q: If I win, how long do I have to choose the trip I’d like to attend?
A:  By September 30, 2018 (three months from the winner announcement date).

Q: What if I win but want my friends and family to join me on the ecotrip?
A:  Great! All your friends and family will receive 10% off their trip cost (not including the flight to Nepal).

Q: What if I win but realize I am unable to attend a trip?
A: Please let us know as soon as possible, so we can draw another winner.

Q: What if I don’t win? Where will my contribution go?
A: It will go directly to helping us establish the PIT Red Panda Protected Forest: the World’s First Protected Area Dedicated to Red Pandas. If you would still like to attend one of our ecotrips, you can apply your donation amount to the total trip cost.
